Seven Reasons You Can Depend On The Promises Of God.

2–3 minutes

Can you depend on the promises of God?

Often times friends and relatives let us down when they do not abide by their words.

Consequently, we sometimes tend to judge God based on human standards.

However, rest assured that the thoughts and ways of God are far more advanced than our ways and thoughts.

As high as the heavens are above the earth so are the ways and thoughts of God higher than ours (Isaiah 55: 8-9)

Hence, you can put your total trust in the Lord because whatever He said, He will do.

To further reinforce this assurance, here are seven reasons that you can count on the promises of God.

1. The name of the Lord is faithful and truth.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. (Revelation 19:11)

2. The promises of God in Him are yes and amen.

For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

3. The Word of the Lord always accomplished whatever it said it would.

The Word of God will plant, germinate, water, and bear fruits.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)

4. The Lord is not slack concerning His promises.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

5. God is able to perform everything that He promised.

He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform. (Romans 4:20-21)

6. The Lord is faithful to His promises.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:23)

7. The Word of the Lord is right.

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. (Psalms 33:4)

We can seal these confirmations with a AMEN!

  4. Amen, God’s word is living and every living being has a purpose. Since he one with his word then his word becomes his bound purpose until it is fulfilled.
