Be Quiet And Listen
Parents constantly complained that their children do not listen to instructions.
It appears as if kids have a unique ability to close their ears whenever they choose.
This is exactly how we sometimes behave to our Father in heaven.

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. (Proverbs 1:5)
We spend many hours praying and interceding, but we often forget to pause and listen to the voice of the Lord as He speaks to us from our hearts.
It is of great benefit to us if we be silent and listen to the Lord.
Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; “but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death.” (Proverbs 8:34 – 36)

So many times in my life the guidance I needed came when I quieted myself and listened.
