The beauty of the Lord can be seen in His holiness. The prophet Isaiah saw the Lord In His beauty and splendor.
Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up seated on His magnificent throne, and the train of His robe filled the temple.
This was indeed an awesome sight, gazing at the beauty of the Lord. The sheer splendor of the Lord emanates holiness.
The Seraphim who flew above God’s throne covered their face and feet with their wings because of the brightness of God’s glory.
As they worshipped the Lord In the beauty of holiness they cried out to each other:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6: 3)
Who will be able to withstand the glory of the Lord? Most of us like Isaiah will immediately recognize how unworthy we are and immediately repent.
But, when you dwell in the house of the Lord, you will be able to behold His beauty.
In that day the Lord of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people, for a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. (Isaiah28:5-6)
