The New Year signifies a new beginning.

So, now is a great time for repenting, consecrating and rededicating your total life to God so that He will heal, deliver and restore you.

You do not have to repeat the past mistakes because when God forgives you, He forgets the past sins and only sees the new you. Therefore, do not resurrect the past sins let them remain in the grave.

The Lord wants to confirm His promises in your life this year so that you can walk in your divine destiny.

Every Hebrew boy, including Jesus, was circumcised at eight days old as a sign that God would confirm His covenant in their lives.

Thus, in this year 2018, the Lord wants you to circumcise the foreskin of your heart in obedience to Him.

How do I circumcise my heart?

According to Luke 17, eight days after Jesus discussed His death and resurrection with His disciples, He took three of them on the mountain to pray. While He was praying, the appearance of His face was altered and His robe was white and glistening.

Then, two men, Moses and Elijah, came and talk to Him about His intended death. Afterwards, the glory of the Lord overshadowed them and God confirmed Christ’s identity.

This scene was an example of circumcision of the heart. It signifies prayer, purity, and obedience to God.

There will be trials during the circumcision process so you will need to prophesy the Word of God over your life so that God will deliver and strengthen you.

Note that the presence of Moses signified deliverance while Elijah indicated the prophetic Word of God.

To start you on your journey I will share with you three steps to living a life that is holy and pleasing to God.

Step One: Renewing Your Body

Who is the first person that you see, feel and touch when you get up in the morning?

Who is the only person in this world who knows you the longest?

Yes, the answer is you! So, put your name and a picture of yourself in the space provided.

Your Name:     ??

Every morning that you awake, look in the mirror and prophesy to yourself:

“I am God’s perfect workmanship made in His image and likeness. I must take good care of this body so that it is free from all afflictions, diseases, idle fondling, molestation, and abuse.

Therefore, I will dedicate my body to the Holy One who created me. He knows me from before the foundation of the world.

My Creator, Jehovah, understands my thoughts. Wherever I go, whomever I am with and whatever I do, He sees.

Lord, you hear every word that I speak; you are acquainted with me.

In fact, you know me more than I know myself.

Therefore, I will give myself totally and completely to you.

My body is God’s holy dwelling place so I will ensure that it is swept clean from all blemishes.

My body will be free from immoralities, casual sex, sexual perversion and ungodly soul ties.

I have been delivered and set free in the Holy and righteous name of Jesus Christ. I will honor my body as I honor Christ.

I will not return to the dead sins of my past because I am alive in Christ Jesus and He has given me a new beginning called LIFE.”

Step Two: Renewing Your Mind

Your mind is connected to your soul. When your body is dead your soul will remain alive and it needs a resting place.

The question is:

Who do you want to spend eternity with?

Are you giving the devil the rights to your soul by living a life of unholiness (backbiting, gossiping, malice, bitterness, jealousy, strife, anger, hatred, ungratefulness, unforgiving)?

Or are you giving God the rights to your soul by living by the fruits of the spirit (goodness, patience, love, humility, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control)?

When you die, the person whom you dedicate your life to while on earth will escort your soul to his dwelling place.

There is no Rest In Peace with the devil. It is shame and torment.

But, a holy life with God guarantees rest for your soul. So select wisely and choose life.

Every day that you awake, renew your mind with the Word of God.

Steadfastly, remove all negative thoughts from your mind and think only about the things that are true, noble, just, pure,  lovely, and of good report. Meditate on things that are virtuous and praiseworthy (Phillipians 4:8).

Step Three – Renewing Your Spirit

God gave you the spiritual part of yourself at conception because it is within this medium that you need to worship Him.

Your spirit is unique to you and it is a record of your name in God’s book of life from before the foundation of the world.

When you die your spirit will return to God, not the devil. The devil has no legal rights to your spirit so guard it carefully.

However, if you live a rebellious and disobedient life on earth or a life that is promiscuous and deceitful you will kill your spirit.

When your spirit dies you will be similar to a Zombie ( a walking dead). The Lord said His Spirit will not always strive with men. Do not allow yourself to reach this state because you can also lose the Spirit of God and then you will become a reprobate.

If you suspect that your spirit is dead or you are currently in the process of killing your spirit, it is not too late for you.

Jesus is the resurrection and life and He can resurrect your dead spirit if you repent now and return to Him.

Keep your spirit alive by being obedient to God.

Do not despise God’s Word but feed on it daily.

These steps to living a holy life is by no means confined to the above three. Living a holy life in a sinful world requires obedience to the Holy Spirit, committment to the Word of God and praying.

Never falter and you will succeed.
