After a disaster such as a hurricane, flooding or earthquake the pests and pestilences come out in their thousands to destroy the survivor. 

They remind me of the consuming locusts that consume everything that the others left behind (Joel 1:4).

These pests (rats, flies, and mosquitos) come with deadly diseases that can quickly become an epidemic.

After the hurricanes, millions of mosquitos invaded the land. So the insect sprays, mosquito repellants, and destroyers are flying off the shelves in the supermarkets more than food as people try to protect themselves from the insects annoying and harmful bites.

When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

Many people, even though it is not advisable, are burning the bushes and rubble in their yard to keep away the mosquitoes.

The Lord promised that He would keep away the diseases that affected the Egyptians. I am holding on to His promises. Thank you, Lord.

And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals You” (Exodus 15:26)

We are living in serious times and we need to know the provision that God has made for us and how we can be prepared for the return of the Lord.
