The Age Of Deception Part Two
Our modern day society has become similar to the ancient days of Noah. The technology may be different but the same spirits from Satan are ruling both worlds.
Part one examine the origin of deception and how it spread as the population increased. The flood is past but the decepton continues.
Noah was righteous and blameless among the people, and he walked with God. He had three sons – Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Noah had a close relationship with God, so it was not surprising that God decided to reveal His secrets to him.
The Lord told Noah His plans and gave him explicit instructions on how to build the Ark which would become a place of refuge for him and his family and a pair of all animals and birds. Can you identify another Ark that was a place of refuge for someone? Write your answer in the comment box below.
Noah was 500 years old when he had his three sons. It was during this time that the Lord commissioned him to build the ark. Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
So Noah spent 100 years building the ark and during that time he warned the people of the impending flood (Genesis 6-7). The Lord said that He would not judge us unless He sent us ample warnings.
However, the peoples’ heart was so hardened with sin that they refused to believe and repent.
I also believe that most of these people were wealthy and famous due to the knowledge that they had. Therefore, they felt that they were indispensable and indestructible. They did not believe that there was a God in heaven.
After all, they were Giants great and tall so who could stand against them? (Numbers 13:33) Certainly not a feeble old man like Noah. So they treated the word of God with contempt. They were in strong delusion (2 Thessalonians 2:2-17).
In our present society, we can identify these same spirits in operation. The world has become so high-tech and scientific that many people refuse to believe the simplicity of the Bible.
Many people are so wealthy that they think that they are gods by themselves and can do anything. Money rules this world. Hence the wealthy people becomes richer while the poor becomes more deprived only receiving handouts from the rich to strengthen their dependence.
The poor is suppressed and oppressed to feed the greed of the affluent. There is widespread pride and deception among the people. These two spirits are the primary stronghold that the devil planted over many nations.
The deception ranges from everyday lies and robberies to internet scams and tricks. There is also high-tech deceits in games and lotteries. There is deception in businesses where every dime is squeezed from the consumers to purchase frivolous items to increase the merchant’s profits.
There is also “legal” deception in taxes and investments. Our technology and educational system have become so advanced that many people are puffed up with pride because of the many letters behind their name.
Money has become the god of this world and many people including Christians are bowing to it. Dissatisfaction and greed have become the hallmark of the workplace and churches.
The blessings of God are equated with monetary gain. If you do not drive a big luxury car, fly in private jets and live in mansions, then you are not considered bless by God.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying your success but there is a problem when we can only see material goods as blessings. We do not recognize the lifestyle of the person, the characteristics of integrity and uprightness as blessings from God.
The deception is evident from the leadership position in government and society down to the ordinary folks. Everyone seems to be using the serpent’s tactic of cunningness to gain their goal. The deception is also prominent in the Church – the body of Christ.
Many thousands of pastors, bishops, prophets, and apostles are all over the world. It appeared as if these positions attract fame and fortune, so everyone is scrambling for them. The Bible showed that these appointments come with much suffering and persecution. But they also come with much love and compassion for people because they are supposed to be servants of the people.
The fame of these ministers is due to their revelations, miracles, and prophecies which remind me of the popularity of the giants in the days of Noah due to their knowledge.
Be careful! We need to open our eyes and note the things that are happening to our world. Can you see the similarities?
I do believe that God, the Father, is now saying to His Son, Jesus Christ, who is sitting at his right hand, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.” (Genesis 6:13).
Give us your opinion.
Do you believe that God will look down on our land and find one person or a group of individuals whom He will find grace? Do you believe He will rescue anyone from the earth?
What do you think Jesus will say to the Father?
