We Continue to Pray for France – Let the wisdom of God prevailed

Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away,  so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him, who rides on the clouds, by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. (Psalms 68:1-6)

We pray that God will give the leaders wisdom in their understanding and action so that they do not react out of fear, but to allow the Lord to lead and direct them.

We pray that the relatives and friends of the victims will find comfort in God. During times of tragedy the pain is raw and emotions strong but we pray that God will remove the fear from their hearts and give them wisdom.

After the multiple terrorist attacks in France, the government declared a state of emergency and the city came to stand still as the people mourn.

The government announced three days of mourning and many major events were cancelled and business places closed. The borders of France are closed with strict security measures, and there have been delayed flights and cancellation at the airports.

The latest report from CNN is that 129 people killed and 352 wounded.

Hundreds of people are flocking to the crime scene with flowers and lighted candles paying their respect to the their murdered friends and relatives.

Although it is understandable that they want to express their grief. Is it wise to have a large crowd in a confined area at this time? Maybe it is better to express your grief in the social media where the world can share your pain with words of love and support.

We should not wait until times of crisis to seek the Lord, but we need to do so continually so that our hedge of protection will be secured.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” (Psalms 91:1-2)

When you continuously lift up the name of the Lord even in trying times, the enemies of God will scatter. Who are the enemies of God?

They are Satan and his demonic spirits. These are the spirits of anger, pride, hatred, murder, suicide, revenge, hostility, etc. They are every evil spirit that oppose good.

Therefore, when we make a full commitment to God and live according to His words, we will receive the fruits of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22).

The enemies will then scatter and flee from you.

The Lord is a God of war. He will dash the enemy to pieces with His right hand; His wrath will consume them like stubble. With the blast of His nostrils, the waters will cover them with floods.

“Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? You stretched out Your right hand; the earth swallowed them. (Exodus 15:11-12)

Therefore,

Hear my (our) cry, O God; Attend to my (our) prayer. From the end of the earth, I (we) will cry to You. When my (our) heart is overwhelmed; Lead me (us) to the rock that is higher than I (us).

For You have been a shelter for me (us), a strong tower from the enemy. I (we) will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I (we) will trust in the shelter of Your wings. (Psalms 61:1-4)

We are living at the end of times and as Jesus stated we will hear of rumours of war. The terrorist attacks instigated a war between violent criminals and the law abiding citizens of the world. It is a war between good and evil, and it is a battle between the demonic spirits of Satan and the people of God.

This war is different from world war one and two. Nevertheless, it is a war of the world hence it is world war three. This battle is the final conflict that will continue until Christ returns. It is a spiritual warfare that can only end when Christ destroys it. We can hasten this day by uniting together and lift up the Lord Jehovah God Almighty in our hearts and lives.
