Once again for the second time this year, there is a devastating attack on France. The last one occurred on January 5, 2015, on the newspaper, Charlie Hebdo.

When I came home yesterday evening, I turned on the Television and the frantic rush of people, police, sirens and ambulance personnel carrying out bodies and the injured, blared across the screen.

I watched in horror as the news media continue to unfold the story of this gruesome attack on innocent people. By 11pm, the CNN news reported that at least six locations were attacked in the outer skirt of Paris, the capital of France. At least 153 people were killed which could increase after all the people are accounted for in the target areas.

Survivors who saw the attackers reported that they dressed in black and were shooting execution style even on the wounded on the ground. Words cannot express the devastating effect that this is having on the lives of the victims’ family and the world as a whole.

The authorities believe that this was a carefully planned attack. I wondered if this is true or if these attackers are lying underground waiting for the opportune time to launch their attack.

Yesterday morning CNN news reported that USA military may have killed ‘Jihadi John,’ the executioner, during an air strike. He was responsible for the beheading of many people. I wondered if France attack is a retaliation of this.

When I heard the news of his death I said to myself that the military can kill the flesh but they cannot kill the bad spirits. As soon as this leader died the evil spirits from Satan left his dead body and entered a new leader who then becomes, even more, vicious than the dead leader. When will it end?

The only thing that I can do right now is to pray for France and the world. This attack has released the spirit of fear in the people of France and other nations. We, therefore, need to pray wisely we need to destroy the demonic spirits, and only the saints of God can do this.

Let us pray

Almighty God we honor you and we adore you. We thank you that you are the Great God, who can release your wrath upon the enemy like consuming fire. Right at this moment the enemy has been wreaking havoc on your people and creating mass confusion and destruction.

Therefore according to your word and base on the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ who dwells in my heart, I command the fire of God to rain down on every diabolical spirit (the spirits of anger, rage, pride, hatred, murder, vindictiveness) that are operating in the hearts of criminals and killers and consumed them to ashes.

I command the spirits of terror, fear, and anger to get out of the hearts of the families of victims, the people of France and other nations. I release the love of God upon every individual that are under attack of these evil spirits because the word God said that perfect love cast out fear. We acknowledge that you have not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind.

I pray that the love of God will encompass the victim’s family; I pray that God will wrap His loving arms around them and give them peace. In Jesus name. Amen.
