Pray for Unity of the Church

The last days that we are living requires total unity of the church so that we can stand up against the fiery darts of the enemy.

The Lord Jesus Christ appoint apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in the church to equip us for ministry and to edify the church. These ministries must all work together within the church to unite us together in faith and the knowledge of the Son of God.

To bring unity to the body of Christ, we need to pray the following verses from the Bible to strengthen us.

Heavenly Father, thank you for appointing some of us to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,  for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

(You equipped us so) that we woul no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4: 11-16)

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
