Making the Right Choice

Therefore give to your servant an understanding heart to judge your people that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. (1 Kings 3:9-10)

Solomon inherited the throne from his father at a very tender age. He was aware that he had no experience to rule the large nation of Israel, so he asked that Lord for an understanding heart to judge His people.

Solomon did not selfishly ask for wealth or fame because he was more concerned about the welfare of his people. As a result, the Lord was pleased with his request and gave him wisdom, wealth and fame.

Let Solomon be your example and seek the Lord for wisdom and revelation, and He will give you everything that you need.
