The Lord has done it before and He will continue to do it.
The following are examples of God’s unwavering support and protection for His followers.
God’s sustaining grace
- God sustained the children of Israel for forty years in the desert, and they lacked nothing.
Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. (Nehemiah 9:21 KJV)
In spite of the many years that the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, their feet remained healthy, and not one of them suffered from DVT or other forms of foot ailment.
Their clothes remained intact and did not become old or shabby. These are indeed supernatural miracles from God.
These were proof that we do not need the abundance of clothing and other stuff we accumulate in modern society.
- You can rest and sleep peacefully at night knowing that God will keep and protect you.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. (Psalms 3:5-6)
According to HelpGuide.org, approximately 32.8 percent of adults do not sleep well in the night and in the USA about fifty to seventy million people experience sleep disorders and disturbances.
The population of the USA is approximately 340 million. Thus about a quarter of the population in the USA are sleep deprived.
Having a good night rest is an example of the abundant life that God promises to us when we trust in Him.
- Complete restoration.
The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed. (Psalms 41:3 NKJV)
If you are sick, trust the Lord God that He will heal, strengthen and raise you up and restore you to your original position.
- Stand wearing your full armor
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13 KJV)
The battle is not yours, it belongs to the Lord. So, why are you fighting? Stand and allow God to sustain you. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
- The righteous will not be moved.
A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. (Proverbs 12:3 KJV)
The meek shall inherit the earth (Psalms 37:11; Matthew 5:5). The humble shall live and glad (Psalms 69:32).
These are some the promises of stability and fulfilment when you remain righteous in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Based on the above scripture passages we can find peace and safety under God’s care.
I pray that you will continue to rest and abide in God’s sustaining grace and power.
