Wake Up!

While the Church sleeps…(Part Two)

This post is a continuation from last Sunday’s post – “While the Church sleeps (Part One)”

Wake up!

“Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”(Ephesians 5:14)

We are the Church of the living God!

Therefore,

Wake up and walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise!

Wake up and redeem the time because the days are evil! (Ephesians 5:15 NKJV)

Wake up!

Sound the battle cry and prepare for war.

Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles (tricks) of the devil.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

Wake up and Stand!

Stand and gird your waist with truth to defeat deception.

Stand with your breastplate of righteousness to defeat sin and iniquities.

Stand with your feet shod with the gospel of peace to defeat the wars in our land.

Stand with the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

Stand with the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Wake up!

Watch and pray!

Let the Church wake up and pray without ceasing.

When Christ returns we want Him to find us awake and ready like the five wise virgins.

If He finds us asleep He will leave us behind and like the five foolish virgins we will miss the wedding feast.

Oh God! Help us to keep awake during these trying times that we are living.

Wake up Church and stand!

Prayer

Lord, we humbly pray that you will help us to recognize the urgency of the times that we are living.

Help us Lord that we will stay awake and watch with you.

We pray O’ God that we will wake up and our eyes will be opened and our hearts enlightened to see your revelations.

Open our eyes to see and understand the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, which states,

“‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ’Says the Lord of hosts.‘Who are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel, you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” (Zechariah 4:6-7)

Lord, help us to rise and exercise the authority that you have given to us.

Help us be bold and openly declare thus says the Lord.

Help us to speak to the mountains that stand in our way.

Lord, we pray that we will forget about traditions and rituals and learn to redeem the times.

Lord, we pray that our leaders will yearn to receive revelations from you.

We no longer desire milk O’ God but we want solid food to strengthen and keep us during these trying times.

Lord, we pray that we will not conform to this world.

We will not try to be men-pleasers “but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.” (Ephesians 6:6)

Open our eyes O’ God and let the fire of your Word burn within our hearts.

Open our eyes to see the future to prophesy, “Thus says the Lord…”

Open (our) my eyes, that (we) I may see wondrous things from your law. (Psalms 119:18)

Open our eyes O’ God that we may see the truth and not be deceived.

Open our eyes and satisfy us with living bread (Proverbs 20:13).

Open our eyes to see your glory.

Because, when our eyes are opened we can then open the eyes of those who are lost in sin “so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

“Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’” (Acts 26:18 NLT)

We thank you O’ God that you are righteous and holy.

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry (Psalms 34:15).

We thank you that you can see beyond our faults and knows our needs.

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9A NKJV)

Thank you Father God!

I declare Psalms 34 over the lives of God’s people and declare that:

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.

The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, and none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.” (Psalms 34:15-22 NKJV)

AMEN!

  1. Amen The time is now … wake up, Church … Armor up, stand firm, and shine His light. Let us not be found sleeping when the Bridegroom comes.

“It is already the hour to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed.”Romans 13:11
