Many people struggle with loneliness. Some people even believe that loneliness is a natural part of life.
Some people, especially ladies, believe that getting married will cure their loneliness.
Do you believe this is true?
Is it possible to be married and feel lonely?
I was one of those persons who believed that marriage will cure my loneliness.
However, after being married for fourteen years I realized that this was far from the truth.
My loneliness disappear when God deliver me from it.
Indeed, loneliness is an evil spirit which must be driven out.
The Lord said He will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
This means you can never be alone because the invisible presence of the Lord is always with you.
Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost to be our comforter and guide.
Therefore, He is a constant reminder that we are never alone. So with this knowledge we can be comforted.

In the beginning when God created man He said it was not good for the man to be alone so He created a woman to be his wife and companion.
This was the perfect family that God created in a perfect world.
However, since sin dominates this world many men and women are unable to find a suitable companion.
They are alone but they do not have to be lonely because the Lord will fulfill all their needs.
Psalms 68:5 says that the Lord will be a Father to the fatherless and a defender to the widows.
In other words, He will fulfill the role of a husband to the widows and also the single ladies.
The prophet Isaiah used the analogy of God being a husband to the desolate woman who was forsaken by her husband to describe how God will return to Jerusalem and restore their kingdom.
The Lord did return to Jerusalem and restore the Jews to their homeland after seventy years of Babylonian captivity (Jeremiah, Ezra 1).
If you are a woman or man forsaken by your spouse the Lord will return to you and restore the years that the canker worms have eaten.
If you are a single man or woman waiting for a spouse the Lord will be a friend and companion and a Father to you.
It does not matter what your circumstances are the Lord will meet your needs. There is nothing too hard for the Lord.
So trust Him today!
Have a blessed day!
