Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
(Proverbs 4:23 NLT)
What flows from your heart?
Good and bad exist in our hearts. The Bible states, “the heart of men is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV).
These are strong adjectives used to describe the hearts of men – deceitful and desperately wicked.
It is easy to devise evil in the heart because we believe that no one can see what is in our hearts.
But is that true?
However, good can be found in the hearts of men also even if it is minimal.
Hence, the Word of God advise us to guard our hearts.
Meaning, we should carefully examine our hearts to ensure that whatever it contains is pleasing to God and will glorify Him.

The things that should flow from your heart
Ensure that love flows from your heart.
Allow peace to flow from your heart like a river.
Let kindness and compassion overflow like a fountain from your heart.
Let the joy of the Lord radiates from your heart.
Guard your heart against evil thoughts.
Guard your heart against deceitfulness.
Guard your hearts against the little things that so easily beset you.
Above all else, let the characteristics of Christ radiate from your heart.
Lord, we pray that you will teach us how to guard our hearts and carefully analyze every thoughts and intents of the heart to ensure that they are submissive to your will and your ways.
In Jesus name, Amen!
