The Tedious Work Of A Pastor
After listening to a rather long and tedious sermon, a five-year-old boy asked his father what the preacher did the rest of the week.

His father said, “He’s very busy taking care of church business, visiting the sick and doing other similar work. He also needs to rest up because giving a sermon isn’t easy.”
The little boy responded, “Well, listening to a sermon isn’t easy either.”

Beverley has been serving the Lord since she was a child. At an early age, she recognized that God had a special plan for her life, but it was not until in her adulthood that she surrendered her total life to God and accepted the mandate that God placed on her life. The Lord called her into His Kingdom to be an encourager, intercessor, teacher, scribe, priest, and to proclaim the Word of God. Since then, Beverly has established a blog to teach us to become the oil and wine. The oil and wine are purified and mature products, which is the advanced level that the Lord expected of us. In 2017, Beverley published her first book, Harm Not The Oil And Wine. In it, she described her trials and how God helped her to overcome them, and to live more victoriously. The book also exposed the enemy of our souls with detailed information about his past defeats and future extinction. Wright spents most of her time studying the Bible to know the truth of God’s Word. She believes that only God’s truth can expose the deception of the enemy, and uproot and tear down spiritual strongholds. You can learn more about Beverley’s life and testimony on her website becomingtheoilandwine.com. You can also find her on Facebook and Google+ under the name of her blog, and on Twitter as @Theoilandwine. View all posts by Beverley

Becoming the oil and wine
Becoming the Oil and Wine blog was founded on March 19th, 2014 by Beverley Doreen Wright in direct obedience to God to teach, encourage and uplift His people.
In 2011, Beverley gave up all secular goals and desires to answer the call of God on her life. Her first project was to start this blog to share her journey to becoming the oil and wine.
God has called each of us to become the oil and wine. This is an advanced stage of maturity in God. The process to become these pure and refined products involve trials to help build and mold your character.
Becoming the oil and wine is an ongoing faith journey. But, during the process you will receive total protection from God because He has commanded the enemy to “harm not the oil and wine” (Revelation 6:6b NKJV)
As the Oil and Wine, you can be like the good Samaritan who poured in the oil and wine on the wounds of those who have been robbed and abused by the enemy.
Beverley’s second project was the released of her first book entitled Harm not the Oil and Wine, which you can purchase on Amazon.
Thank you for visiting and supporting this blog. Remain steadfast in your journey to become the Oil and Wine.

Love it, I agree when I have been an Interim Pastor and preaching week after week on Sunday afternoons I was ready for a nap (lol) there is so much to do between meetings, visiting the sick and people from the congregation and writing a sermon can and does take many hours as well as continue with your education classes and more important one needs to be in prayer for the Lord to lead you when you do preach. I have been bless as our Lord has use me this way. I will be sharing on my page as well.

Indeed, a pastor’s work is certainly hard. It is not just about preaching a Sunday morning. There is more that is involved. Thanks for visiting and sharing your experience. I will certainly visit yours.
