You Are God Alone!

1–2 minutes

The Assyrians conquered the nation of Israel, and the land was demolished. The King of Assyria sent death threats in a letter to Hezekiah king of Judah.

When Hezekiah received the letter he spread it before the Lord and prayed.

you-are-god-alone

And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it, and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord and spread it before the Lord. Then Hezekiah prayed to the Lord and said: “O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God. (2 Kings 19:14-16)

King Hezekiah recognized that God alone was greater than the powerful Assyrian army. The king acknowledged the supremacy of the Lord and consequently, God immediately answered his prayers

If you are in a precarious position right now where there seems to be no escape you can be confident in the power of God so wait patiently on Him.

For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God. (Psalms 86: 10)

Only God alone has the power to heal and restore.

Only God alone has the power to save and deliver.

Only God alone has the power to sustain and protect.

The Lord has no competition.

He is the champion!
