Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah (Psalms 46:10-11)

Is it possible to be still during trials?

Can you be still in affliction and Pain?

Can you be still when you are grieving for a loved one?

Indeed, it is hard to be still when you are consumed with fear.

It is hard to keep still when your body is riddled with pain.

It is hard to keep still when the burdens of life overwhelmed you.

But God said, “Be still!”

Because only in the silence will you hear the still small voice of the Lord as He whispers, “Let not your heart be troubled.”

“I will heal your body and mend your broken heart.”

“I will forgive your sins and I will remember them no more.”

“I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Yes, in the stillness of the night, you will hear the sweet promises of God saying,

“I will bless you and multiply you and make your descendants great.”

“I will return to you at the time of life.”

“I will destroy the works of the devil and restore all that the enemy has stolen.”

“Behold, I will bring you health and healing; I will heal you and reveal to you the abundance of peace and truth.” (Jeremiah 33:6)

“The peace that passes all understanding.”

“So, be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

During this weekend the world is celebrating Valentine’s day. And, while some are rejoicing with loved ones there are many others who are dying of loneliness, depression, and pain.

But there is hope because before Valentine there was Agape.

Before the foundation of the earth, the Spirit of the Lord God hovered over us and loved us.

With loving arms, He molded and fashioned us into His image and likeness.

With Everlasting love, He called us back to Himself when we strayed.

“Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you.”

If you are feeling rejected and sad the Lord said,

“Come to me all you who are burdened and heavy ladened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon me and learn of me for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

The Lord Jesus Christ came to save and rescue you.

He came to preach good tidings to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

He came to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:1-3)

The Lord Jesus Christ came just for you!

Be still and listen!
