It Is Written…

1–2 minutes

Jesus our faithful Savior did not leave us alone in this world to fight the battle with the enemy.

While Jesus was on earth He ensured that He defeated every temptations that the devil threw at Him.

Best of all, our Lord Jesus Christ showed us how we too can overcome the trials and temptations of the enemy.

Revelation 12:10-11 states that the accuser is cast down to earth but we will overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the words of your testimony.

Jesus overcome each temptation in the wilderness by using the two edged sword in His mouth, which is the Word of God.

When the devil tempted Jesus to succumb to His fleshly desires the Lord replied, “It is written man shall not live by bread alone.”

The devil tried to test the authencity of the Son of God but Jesus rebuked him with the words, “It is written you shall not tempt the Lord thy God.”

Finally, the devil tried to tempt Jesus with riches and worldly pleasures in return for worship but the Lord rebuked the devil with, “It is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (See Matthew 4)
