  1. Amen, Beverley. Another favorite verse is “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10. Fear truly is a dis-abler [especially in times of trouble], and we need His love to overcome. Wonderful encouragement ♥

  3. I love your piece on fear. I’m working on book four of the Lawman series, and the first chapter has Will in church. The Pastor is talking about one of the great mismatches in history, a guy named David taking on a mountain of a man called Goliath. While writing it, it occurred to me Goliath wasn’t the problem here. The problem was a mind numbing, paralyzing fear that kept the Army if Israel locked in place.

    That was the real battle David beat through faith and prayer. What happened to Goliath was nothing more than the evidence that the battle against fear had been fought and won.
