Receiving Your Inheritance

1–2 minutes

The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. (Psalms 19:8)

In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he prayed that the believers would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know God.

He also prayed that the eyes of our understanding are enlightened that we may know the hope of God’s calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (See Ephesians 1:18)

What is our inheritance?

The power that God used to resurrect the Lord Jesus Christ and established Him at His right hand far above all principalities is the same mighty power that we have inherited through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We have the power to trample the enemy because everything was placed under the feet of Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the head over all things. Therefore, we are the head and not the tail. We are above and not beneath.

Our eyes can be enlightened to the revelation of our inheritance when we obey the commandments of God.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (John 15:10, 12)

What a glorious inheritance!

Hallelujah! Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you, Lord, that we have inherited your name and the power that comes with it.
