When the glory of the Lord appears, will you run and hide in terror or will you bow down in worship and adoration?

Moses spent forty days and nights in the presence of God and when he returned to the tabernacle his skin shone with the glory of God.

Moses had to cover his face with a veil to speak with the people because they could not look upon the glory of God on his face (Exodus 34:29-35).

The veil is a curtain use as covering or separation. It was also used to divide the holy place from the holiest place in the tabernacle (Exodus 26:33).

The veil separated the people from the direct glory of God. The priest had to be properly sanctified before he could go behind the veil with the blood of atonement.

The holy place is the sacred place of God where He sat on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant between the Cherubim.

The Hebrew root word for veil is perek (Strong H6531) which means harshness, severity, cruelty or crushing.

But, when used as poreketh (H6532), it means a curtain. In other words, the curtain protects sinful men from being severely crushed to death from the glory of God.

Nothing sinful can stand in the presence of God.

Hereafter the children of Israel shall not come near the tabernacle of meeting, lest they bear sin and die. (Numbers 18:22)

When the people saw Moses they were afraid to come near him. In the same manner, the people were afraid when they saw the glory of God upon the mountain (Exodus 24).

The children of Israel were fearful because the glory of God was to them like a fire which burns harshly as a result of their sinful lifestyle.

Thanks be to God; the sacrifice of Christ tore the veil of the temple so that through Him we can enter the Holy place in the glorious presence of God without being consumed by the fire (Matthew 27:50-52).

The Lord Jesus Christ is even more glorious than Moses’ shining face.

Therefore, when we are cleansed by His blood, we can with unveiled faces behold the glory of the Lord and become transformed into the glorious image of Christ by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:12-18)

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (Psalms 1:5-6)

Let the glory of the Lord shines in your life to protect you from the enemy and to draw all men to God.

Let the glory of God transforms your life.

Let the glory of the Lord brings healing to your body.

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. (Isaiah 60:1-3)
