Most people celebrate February as the month for love.
We express our love in gifts and words, but how does God express His love toward us?
For when we were still without strength, ]in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)
This is the greatest expression of love. Therefore,
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength (Deuteronomy 6:4)
Let us return the love to God. Only one way we can do this.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. (John 14:15-16)
When we are obedient to the Word of God, His love will abide in our hearts. Only then we will be able to love one another.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)
The only love that matters is the love of God. The love that is true and forever faithful.
Thank you, Lord for your love.
