The Lord is seeking for Himself a man after His own heart to be commander of His people.

Are you qualified for this position?

Because the heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, you may ask, “Who can know it?”

Someone does! The Lord Jehovah knows your heart.

He does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:9)

Your life will reflect your heart.

Is your life bearing the fruit of the Spirit?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law. (Galatians 5:22)

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.  (Ephesians 5:9-10)

Or is your life reflecting the unfruitful works of darkness?

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5: 19-21)

You can hide your heart from men, but you cannot hide it from God.

You can pretend that you are good, but your life will reflect your heart.

Seek after the heart of God – a heart of love, humility, mercy, forgiveness, and longsuffering and you will be rewarded with the top positions in His kingdom.

The positions of kings and priests to lead the people of God.
