The Lord said that His thoughts or plans for us are not to harm us but to give us a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
What are some of the plans that God has for us?
1. Salvation for everyone.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
2. Destruction of the enemy
Make the arrows bright! Gather the shields!
The Lord has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His plan is against Babylon to destroy it, because it is the vengeance of theLord, the vengeance for His temple. (Jeremiah 51:11)
3. Guaranteed protection
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:1-4)
