The Heart Of Friendship

1–2 minutes

People will move in and out of your life every day. God will send friends to help you in times of need.

The Lord will also place people across your path who you are able to help and be a blessing in their life.

Don’t try to hold on to a friendship that has changed direction. Move on because God has someone else waiting around the corner to be a greater impact on your life.

The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray. (Proverbs 12:26)

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. (John 15:13-15)

  1. I am grateful for Jesus being the one who stays closer than a brother. I have learned over the years that just because someone moves on in life does not mean we are not friends anymore just that the friendship has changed but it isn’t a bad thing. In my ministry for refugees people come and go in my life. I didn’t realize the impact it can have actually until yesterday when one new friend told me what a mutual friend whom I had helped said about me. She said, “he will hold your hand in life until you are ready to let go.”

    1. You shared some genuine testimonies of what true friendship is about. When you help people who are in need, as you do, from a genuine heart of love they will forever remember you in their heart. I pray that God will continue to strengthen and keep you in the New Year so that you will continue to minister to those refugees who are in need.

I’ve always considered friends to be flowers in the garden of my life, and with each flower it has its season. Some are annuals and some perrenials, but each with it’s own pleasant beauty and aroma.

Thank you Beverley for being one of those flowers beautifying the garden of my life. It is indeed a sweet aroma unto God.

May your New Year be blessed with the Peace and protection of God and the Joy of the Lord in your heart, strengthening you in His Love.
