The Battle is the LORD’S

There’s a spiritual battle that is all around and in the unseen realm;
And we’re in the fray with our Armour on, with Almighty God at the helm.

For He’s there to lead, and He’s there to guide, so with the Sword of the Lord we shall go;
With boldness and valour, we shall tread on that snake,
And with victory we win, this we’ll know.

So we’ll love and we’ll laugh, and we’ll trust and pray, singing our song on our way,
But never forget that our foe is at hand,
making haste to mess up our day.

But the battle is His, and He’ll cast him down,
And this we truly shall see;
For He is our Protector and Conquering God,
And in Him is our victory!

Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Psalms 98:1 – O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

    This poem confirms the word that God gave me for 2019. He said to pray without ceasing. There is a constant battle raging between good and evil in the spiritual realm. But, we do not have to fear because the battle is the Lord’s. Amen! This is a powerful message. Thank you, Susan! Thank you for your support throughout the years. You have been a blessing in my life. May God continue to strengthen and protect you and your family. Have a blessed New Year!

    Thank you Beverley. I appreciate your your comment. 2019 will be an interesting and intriguing year ahead of us. The new year always gives me a fresh start to direct my focus even deeper into the Truth of Gods Word while this world is spinning out of control. It reminds me to always remember Isaiah 26:3 ” Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Amen to that.

    I have to tell you that the Holy Spirit has laid upon my heart of late the scripture John 17. It is The LORD’S Prayer to His and our Heavenly Father. Jesus says it all to His Father in that moment in time, for He knew what was coming ahead when Judas betrayed Him and delivered him up to the officers of the chief priests and Pharisees. It’s a beautiful prayer that we should treasure in our hearts as the times of testing and persecutions come to all of Gods children who follow The Word of Truth Who became flesh……”I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” John 17:14-15.
    He can be trusted to keep us (preserve us) from the evil. “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Corinthians 3:3.

      Our mind has to remain on God for us to have peace. Jesus’ prayer in John 17 is also a favorite prayer of mine. As you said, we have to trust the Lord to preserve us. That is the reason why the battle is the Lord’s. Amen. Thank you for sharing. Love and blessings to you always.❤
