I Chose To Serve The Lord

1–2 minutes

When I examine our society it become obvious that three things dominate this world.

These three things are pride, lust and greed. All three are evident when we see the crazy rush on the stores to catch the so called Black Friday deals.

People, including Christians, are so consumed with material things that they willingly camp out at the shopdoors in the early hours of the morning to purchase a third or fourth television for their house.

One wonders where do these people find so much money to spend on unnecessary goods.

I wonder what would happen if the entire population would camp out by the doors of churches waitng to get inside to pray when the door is opened.

I am sure that it would instigate a nation wide revival.

Unfortunately, prayer meetings are the least attended meetings in the church. Hence, the Church is looking more and more like the world.

In spite of this,  God is giving us room to repent and make a public decision to serve Him.

“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt.

Serve the Lord

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:14-15)

  1. Nice thought, “I wonder what would happen if people camped out at church doors?”

    1. I think it would take a major disaster for people to that. Thank God that He is merciful. Thanks for sharing.

  2. It’s a sad state of affairs. We should be praying for the salvation of our nations and the repentance of our peoples.

So true. There will be no revival until there is true repentance. 🙏
