The Lord makes marvellous things from what appears to be impossible situation.
Ashes is the residue left behind after a solid substance is burnt.
The chemical composition of this residue depends on the substance that was burnt. For example the ashes left behind from burning wood is mainly comprised of calcium carbonate.
Can anything good comes from the ashes or is it useless?
Gardeners have discovered that adding a little wood ash to compose can add valuable nutrients in the soil, it can also keep away certain pests.
Ashes can also be used as cleaning agent and in the manufacturing of soap.
There is purpose in every situation even when it appears dry and lifeless.
God can you turn the dry bones into a mighty army.
Though the desert is parched and void, God can make rivers and springs flows in the desert.
The vast barren wilderness appears overwelming, but never fear you will not lose your way because God will make a road in the desert.
Is there anything too hard for the Lord?
Isaiah 43; Ezekiel 37.
