Know Your Enemy!

Do you know what your adversary, the devil, looks like?

 

Does he look like this, burning in hellfire?

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)

 

Or perhaps the devil looks like this?

Take heed! Because even if your adversary looks like the above pictures he will not appear to you in those despicable form.

Satan (the devil) will appear to you like this!

 

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan, himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:13-14)

    You make a very astute observation here. False prophets have always been among Gods people. What I think we as His people must do is to know His word, because it would be the warned about twisting of it that would scratch the ears of some and lead others astray. We should be careful to not be among them.
