The Lord pronounced judgment upon the ancient world that was corrupted by a vengeful Satan.

He sent a massive flood which wiped out every trace of human beings except the inhabitants of the Ark.
The Bible stated that the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And it rained for forty days and nights. (Genesis 7:11-12)
What do you think the Bible meant by the words floodgates and windows of heaven? Do you think that they were metaphorical statements?
Do you feel that the earth was covered with water due to a massive hurricane or just plenty rain from the clouds in the sky?

I will tell you my opinion based on the scripture, and you can state whether you agree with me or not.
At the beginning of Genesis, there was water which God created. Then the Lord created a firmament in the midst of the waters to divide the waters from the waters.

So water was above and below the firmament. God called the firmament heaven. God gathered the waters under the heaven in one place to separate the dry land. The gathering together of the waters below the firmament (Heaven) God called seas. (Genesis 1:6-10).
So we know that the waters below the firmament were grouped together into one large mass of water called the seas.
But what about the waters above the firmament? Where is it? Do you believe that it is the clouds? I don’t think so.

The Lord explained creation to the writer of Genesis in simple language because He used the simple and base things of this world to confound the wisdom of man (1 Corinthians 1:26-31).
The events that occurred at creation are more incredible than human beings can tolerate. Creation involved tremendous energy and power far above our imagination.
God created the world in His time span which is entirely different than ours. A day to us is like yesterday or a thousand years to God (2 Peter 3:8).
So the expanse of the universe appeared as if it is million and millions of light years away from us, but to God, it is just a stone throw away. He can just reach out His hand and touch a star or wrap a galaxy around his little finger.

The universe is like toys at His feet while we humans are like dust in His sight.
“Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? (Isaiah 66:1)
Thus when the windows of heaven opened, the waters above the firmament gushed down upon the earth. The people on the land had never seen so much water and it appeared as if nothing could stop it. On top of all that deluge, the fountains of the deep broke up and released its contents. What is the deep?
In the six-hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights. (Genesis 7:1-12)
Water was coming from three sources: the windows of heaven, the fountain of the deep and rain from heaven (clouds). After forty days the water ceased from these three areas (Genesis 8:2).
At the beginning of creation, there was darkness upon the face of the deep. The word deep in the English dictionary means extending far down from the surface. Thus fountains of the deep refer to the furthest depths of the seas.
Water was, therefore, springing from the lowest part of the oceans on top of the earth. Thus not only water was coming to the surface but all the sea creatures that dwell in those depths.

I believe the sea creatures devour all living things upon the earth so that no traces of humans, beasts and birds were seen after the flood except those in the Ark. The deep also refers to iniquities in the heart of men (Psalms 64:6); and also hell or Sheol. This was the place where Job found himself when he disobeyed God.
Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly. And he said:
“I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. “Out of the belly of Sheol, I cried, and You heard my voice. For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me; all Your billows and Your waves passed over me.
Then I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight, yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.’ The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; the deep closed around me; weeds were wrapped around my head. (Jonah 2:1-5)
The Lord sent judgment upon the wicked generation in the days of Noah by sending a massive flood to wipe them all off the face of the earth and sent their souls to hell into the deep – the depths of the seas. The earth was cleansed!
Our present world is living like the days of Noah, but we do not have to receive the same fate as those people if we heed to the warning right now and repent. When we look to the holy temple of God and call upon the Lord, He will hear and answer us.

Why are you waiting? It is not too late for you! Receive the saving grace of God right now!
Your opinion is important to us!
What is the ‘deep’ in our world today? Where is the location of hell? Do you think that God will cleanse the earth again?
