Great Benefits that you Cannot Afford to Ignore!

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalms 103:1-5).

The entire month of November was dedicated to signs of the times on this blog. Our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 24, told us about the events that will transpire on earth preceding his second coming. We have examined these events and we recognized that all of the recorded signs are currently taking place in the world.

Indeed it has been an enlightening experience for me as I browsed through the web to read the news articles about the current wars and diseases that are affecting many countries. There has been a resurgence of many diseases, such as Malaria and Cholera, that were once controlled. There have been some new diseases appearing such as the Chikungunya which is currently attacking many people in South America and the Caribbean.

Recent report claimed that there has been a decrease in the number of infection in some Caribbean islands and Latin American countries. This is as a direct result of these countries effort to clean the environment and destroy mosquitoes by frequent fogging.

There is also some good news coming from the WHO concerning the deadly Ebola virus. The news claimed that there have been a reduced number of infectious cases in some countries in West Africa such as Liberia. The case load has decreased by 25% per day but the epidemic is far from over.

Researchers are still working on a vaccine to help build up the immune system against Ebola. According to the WHO the first trial test of the vaccine has been successful so far and they are hoping to begin phase two in early 2015.

God is more powerful than humans and he is able to heal and restore those who are stricken with these diseases. The Lord is also the one sure and solid rock where we can take refuge. He will keep us safe and secure from every pestilences and destruction when we abide in his secret place under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91).

Another major sign is the numerous wars and conflicts that are happening in various parts of the world. The war against terrorism is ongoing. Hence the USA and allies are constantly combating radical Islamic groups such as ISIS and Taliban.

Another long drawn out war is the conflict between the Israeli and the Palestinians for the promise land. God gave this land to Abraham and his descendants a long time ago. The Lord promised that it will be a land flowing with milk and honey but unfortunately man has made it into a land of conflict and bloodshed.

It appeared as if this hostility between these two groups of people will never end until Christ return to earth.

“And it will come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Acacias.” (Joel 3:18)

On that day, there will be a complete restoration of God’s people both Jews and gentiles; and there will be a new heaven and a new earth which will be rich with new wine and milk. The fountain of the Lord (the river of life) will flow from the throne of God to give everlasting life to his people.

Mean time, while we are waiting, let us continue to strengthen each other in prayer and support so that we will be able to endure the tribulation period. Our trials may be many but God is present with us and he will bless us in the midst of our fiery trials.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 2:1-4)

Let us give God praise and thanks in spite of our circumstances.

Let us Pray Together

Heavenly Father, thank you for the assurance that you are the balm of Gilead who will heal every sickness and diseases. We thank you that you are the Prince of Peace who will bring peace to this troubled world.

We declare right now that no weapon that formed against us will prosper and every tongue that rise up against us in judgment we will condemn because this is our heritage and we claimed it as such.

We destroy every diabolical plots of the enemy from its inception and declare them null and void.

We release the spirits of love, unity, humility and peace among us and we receive the victory that you have accomplished from before the foundation of this world.

Continue to reign in our life King Jesus and bring us peace. Amen
