In the beginning, God!

If there was no God then there would not have been a beginning.

You, me and the entire universe would not have existed.

In the beginning was the Word!

And the spoken Word began to create.

But, the darkness opposed and created confusion.

Then the spoken Word became light bringing order from the chaos.

Then the world begins.

God created the universe in six days.

On the seventh day, God rest from all His work which He had done (Genesis 2:2).

God created the world as a paradise to give humaity joy and peace.

God created the earth for humaity to dominate, replenish and live in peace.

However, man has failed in doing these mandates.

Consequently, the world is filled with violence, war, oppression and every manner of sin.

The world has returned to chaos because of sin.

The blood of the murdered innocents are crying out to God from the dust of the ground.

Thus, God will intervene to end it all.

When will the world end?

The world will continue in cycles of sevens until the day of the Lord.

On this special day, the seventh seal will be broken and the seventh trumpet will sound.

Then the Lord God will arise from His rest to end this sinful earth and recreate a new heaven and earth.

The new heaven and earth

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NKJV)

The past sinful life will be eroded.

The past life of pain and suffering will be forgotten.

The old thigs will pass away and everything including humans will become new.

As you look forward to this world, you will need patience to wait.

Persevering until the end

The most difficult areas to accomplish in a task is the beginning and the ending.

You dreamt of writing a book one day, but you never seem to have the time to begin it.

Every New Year you write a long list of things that you will do before the end of the year.

However, as the days rolled into months you return to your regular routine and your list fell by the wayside.

Likewise, you may start a task, but you fail to finish it.

If you doubt me, take a look around your house and I guarantee you will find at least six unfinished tasks.

I am also guilty of this.

However, don’t be discouraged because God is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Your duty is just to trust the Lord and,

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

Amen! I pray that you will gain the confidence to begin and end your assignment, in Jesus’ name.
