The Power of Restoration

According to dictionary.com, restoration means “a return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition.”

Restoration is necessary if you have lost something.

For example, if you have lost your health, wealth or even your joy then you will need to be restored to your original state.

John 10:10 states that the thief only comes to kill, steal and destroy.

The thief is our greatest enemy, Satan, who will always try to steal or destroy the good plans that God has for our life.

Sometimes he succeeded, but don’t give up because it is not the end.

Whenever there is a relapse in your life it is an opportunity for restoration.

The second part of John 10:10 states that Jesus comes to give life and life more abundantly.

Therefore, Jesus is the only person who can restore you to your original condition.

Jesus’ act of restoration is demonstrated from the beginning of creation when He redeemed fallen humanity to their original relationship with God.

Throughout Jesus’ ministry on earth we see many examples where He not only healed the sick but He restored them to their original state.

By a simple touch from Jesus, the dead return to life (Matthew 9:23-26)/

The eyesight of the blind restored by a touch from Jesus (Mark 8:25).

The man with the withered hand was restored similar to the other hand by a command from Jesus (Matthew 12:9-13).

By a stern rebuke, legions of unclean spirits flee from the demon possessed man and he was clothed and in his right mind (Luke 8:26-38).

Halleluiah!

Satan is the master of deception and confusion. He will perform miracles to gain your worship.

He will heal, but he cannot restore your health.

Likewise, the doctors can treat and sometimes cure your symptoms, but they cannot restore you to your former state.

Only God can heal, deliver and restore you.

When you are fully restored to your former position. You will never be put to shame again.

Restoration is God’s mighty work.

Would you like to be restored to your former healthy and prosperous self?

Lord, I pray that you will heal and restore my brothers or sisters who are battling chronic illness.

Lord, I pray that you will restore all the things that the enemy has stolen from us.

I pray that when we are restored we will remain faithful to you and to walk in faith and truth.

Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
