Be True To Yourself

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. (Matthew 7:1-2)

One of the meanings of judge that stands out is “to condemn”.

Romans 8:34 asks, “Who then will condemn us?”

The answer is clear! “No One”

Why?

“Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”

As born-again believers in Christ, we are not subjected to any condemnation.

Armed with this knowledge we should not be intimidated by the judgment that the world places on Christians.

The world judge based on their standard.

What is the standard of the world?

1 John 2:16 states that “all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”.

Consequently, the world will try to judge you based on your appearance, and your economic and social status in society.

But, rest assured you are not subjected to the principles of this world because Christ has overcome the world and whoever is born of God has overcome the world (1 John 5:4).

Since the world is not qualified to judge the believers then the believers should not judge each other based on the principles of this world.

If you do, God will use that same measure that you use to judge your fellow brethren to judge you.

Thus, let us endeavor to be patient with each other in love and make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-3).

My prayer for us today is that we learn to be tolerant with each other, to love each other, and to be at peace with everyone.

AMEN!
