Educating Your Heart
How do you educate your heart?
There is nothing wrong with achieving the best and highest education that you can obtain.
However, having a high education without wisdom or not knowing how to apply it is useless.
Paul was highly educated, but he said that he counted everything that he had achieved as worthless because of what the Lord Jesus Christ had done in His life.
He disregarded all the things that he thought were valuable so that he could gain Christ (Philippians 3:7-9).
Having secular knowledge without the wisdom of God is empty knowledge and empty knowledge is deceitful.
Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
(Colossians 2:8-10)
Educating your heart means seeking the wisdom of God.
The wisdom of God is not earthly because man’s wisdom is foolishness to God.
Furthermore, God declared that He will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent (1 Corinthians 1:18 NLT).
Therefore, if you lack wisdom you can ask the Lord who will give it to you willingly without rebuke (James 1:5)
How do you ask God for wisdom?
By praying to God to pour on you His Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him.
When you receive this outpouring you will receive revelations from the Lord and you will not be deceived by worldly wisdom.
Let us pray
Lord, we pray that you will give us a deeper understanding of your Word.
We pray that you will pour on us heavenly wisdom to navigate this world of deception.
Lord, we bless and honor you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you for reading and be blessed.

This almist sounds like you were sitting next to us in church this morning. Yes, and God purposely chose the foolish things (and people) of the world to put to shame the wise.

God’s wisdom counters what the world sees as wise. Following Christ and getting God’s wisdom, exceeds all!
