Soar Like An Eagle
Beauty, Majesty and Power
Eagles have been described in three words – beauty, majesty and power.
The eagles are a variety of large predatory birds with strong, sharp claws and beak. They are found in every continent except Antarctica.
Their habitats range from mountains to grassland and from forest to desert 🏜. They specifically make their nest at high altitude eg mountain peaks, cliffs and precipice.
The eagles have remarkable vision that allow them to see their prey at a far distance.
The most magnificent part of the eagles is their wings. When they fly, they unveil a wing span of more than 2 meters.
The eagles’ feathers have different layers that serve to trap and warm the air and also to decrease air resistance allowing them to glide and soar through the air – high above land.
The eagles have one mate for life and the baby eaglets are cared for by both parents until they are old enough to leave the nest.
The most profound characteristics of the eagle is that they have no predators, but their little ones are prey to other predators such as squirrels, owls and other animals that are searching for food.
Therefore, the eagles fiercely guard and protect their little ones under their wings.
Protection under the shadow of God’s wings
The Lord our God is One God. He is exalted high above the heavens and the earth. There is no one before Him nor will ever be after Him.
God created and controlled the spoiler that destroy and so He has no predators.
Hence, the Lord declared that no weapons that formed against His children will prosper and every tongue that rise up in judgment against us we have the right to condem because this is our heritage.
The Lord will bear us up on eagles’ wings when our predators lurks in hiding places to eat our flesh.
He will bear us up lest we dash our feet against a stone.
The Lord will protect us under the shadow of His wings.
When you wait on the Lord you will mount up with wings as eagles.
Beauty, Majesty and Power are some of the characteristics of God.
One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord sll the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4)
Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2)
The voice of the Lord is powerful and full of Majesty (psalms 29:4).
God alone is glorious, powerful, majestic and filled with wisdom (Jude 1:25).
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. When He had cleansed us from our sins, He sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven (Hebrews 1:3 NLT)
As children of God we are tremendously blessed to have a divine eagle watching over us, taking care of us and protecting us.
We can, therefore, confidently rise above our enemies as we soar like an eagle.
May the Lord bless you as you mount up with wings as an eagle.

“He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, So the Lord alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him. Amen. That said sometimes I think His definition of harm is different than ours.
