Deliverance From The Spirit Of Confusion

Last year Christmas my home was in spiritual disarray because my son was hospitalized.

Consequently, I spent the entire Christmas season in fasting and prayer.

This Christmas season finds my home in disarray once again but this time it was physical due to the reconstruction of the windows in my apartment.

I thought about the word “disarray” and realized that it was similar to confusion.

What is confusion?

Confusion is defined by dictionary.com as disorder; upheaval; tumult; chaos.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

Confusion is an abomination to the Lord.

In the Old Testament, the laws made it clear that if humans lie with beasts or if a man lies with his daughter-in-law or commits any other forms of incestuous acts, they are confusion and abomination unto the Lord (Leviticus 18:23; 20:12).

“The wisdom of this world is sensual, devilish and filled with strife and envy. Where there are envy and strife there is confusion and every evil work.” (James 3:13-16)

“But the wisdom of God is pure, peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” (James 3:17-18)

Satan is the author of confusion because he is the father of lies.

He sows seeds of confusion to throw your household into disarray to disrupt families, communities, and ultimately the society.

When this evil spirit is identified anywhere, we need to cancel it and release the spirit of peace.

God is the author of peace because He is the prince of peace.

The Lord operates on the foundation of mercy and judges righteously without partiality.

This is how we need to operate in our daily lives to prevent the evil spirit of confusion to take root.

When you sow seeds of peace you will reap the fruits of peace and righteousness.

When your ways please the Lord even your enemies will be at peace with you (Proverbs 16:7)

Prayer to be delivered from the spirit of confusion

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. (Psalms 71:1-5)

But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.

But, O Lord of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause. Sing unto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. (Jeremiah 20:11-13) AMEN

So, stand up and set a standard because the Lord Jesus Christ is with you as a mighty warrior.

For all the promises of God in Him are yea and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

As you enter into the New Year, I pray that the Son of man will be exalted in your daily life and you will receive His revelation and always live in peace.

In case you missed it

During the month of November, we shared some fun and laughter with St. Peter.

Happy New Year!
