Transformed In The Image Of Christ
A Christian is a follower of Christ. This means that a Christian must be transformed in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
How can you be transformed in God’s Image and likeness?
- Recreation of your soul.
A rebirth by water and the Spirit will give you access into the Kingdom of God (John 3).
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” (Galatians 2:20-21)
- The presence of the Holy Spirit in your heart
The Holy Spirit has a powerful role in our lives. He is our comforter, guide, teacher, encourager and companion.
We need to honor His presence in our lives.

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7 NKJV)
- The love of God in your heart
God chose us to be His children because He loves us unconditionally. Henceforth we ought to show love to each other.
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (1 John 3:1-3)
- Receiving the mind of Christ

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16) Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
- Living a Godly lifestyle
Your full obedience to the Holy Spirit will help you to live a righteous and godly lifestyle
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
- Fighting the good fight of faith
God has given every person a measure of faith. With this faith as small as a mustard seed you can move every mountain in your path,
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:11-12)

Thanks Beverley. These are areas we should definitely focus on if we want to be true representatives of Jesus to the world. We must continuously strive to know Him more and be more like Him.
