The Blessings of the New Covenant
“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:31, 33)
During the former days of the Old Testament, God gave Moses written laws and commandments to teach His people.
Strict adherence to the laws was necessary. If one was broken all was considered broken.
The Laws were burdensome and they did not remove the burden of sin but were, in fact, a constant reminder of sin.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (Matthew 28:5-6)
Christ’s death and resurrection atoned completely for sins and it also removed the guilt. The former covenant was over. As a result of Christ’s redemptive work, the sacrifice of animals was no longer needed.
Christ fulfilled the commandment of God therefore when you receive Him in your heart you are essentially receiving the fulfillment of God’s commandment into your life.
Hence, you have acknowledged God to be Lord of your life. This is the new covenant which the Lord has established with us.

Romans 4 explains that it is faith in Jesus that is accounted to us for righteousness. If we believe in His death and His resurrection, and that He has justified us, then we have already won. Thanks Ma’am. God bless and keep you.
