  1. I never considered that Peter’s naps had caused Him to sin…interesting thought.

  5. As I began reading I remember the scripture and I was thinking the same that Jesus specifically talked with Peter. It was last night I was talking about the same thing. The devil had already asked for Peter to sieve Peter like wheat but Jesus prayed for him.
Peter the spoken among the other disciples had become a target of the devil. It was the purpose of Peter that caused him to become a target so Jesus had to position him to start develop a prayer life. The spirit of slumber at the hour of prayer had caused him to lose what was important. Peter’s failure is our lesson to have a fervent prayer life. Lovely writing Beverley.

  6. Taking time out to pray daily is vital to us. It sets our focus in the right place and strengthens us for the day ahead. Prayer is a big part of how we grow in our relationship with the Lord, and hear what He wants to say to us. Thank you Beverley for reminding us of the importance of diligent prayer.

  7. So well said Beverley. We need to ask these hard questions of ourselves. Why do we always seem to have time for all things of this world, but we don’t spend enough time with our LORD! The enemy loves to distract us. Make GOD a priority and all else will fall into place! Blessings dear one!
