Blogging tips – the biblical way
You spent hours writing quality content in your post but after publishing, you only receive less than ten views.
This seems a waste of your valuable time and effort.
Don’t give up! There is hope!
Since I began blogging in 2014, my followers have grown to over 2000, but I have an average of approximately 150 views per day.
It seems, therefore, that not all the people who follow my blog read my post.
One of the main reasons for this is that most bloggers follow your blog so that you can, in turn, follow theirs.
However, some bloggers promptly unfollow you as soon as you follow their blog.
On the other hand, some bloggers are busy writing content and trying to build their website so they do not have much time to visit other blogs.
Therefore, not all of your followers are faithful.
Over the years I have read a number of articles on the internet that offer advice on how to increase traffic to your website.
I am sure you are familiar with many of these strategies such as publicizing on social media, blogging frequently, writing appropriate tags, search engine optimization (SEO), purchasing followers, and networking.
I have tried most of these options but none of them seem to work for me.

Jesus had a multitude of people who followed Him everywhere He went.
There was once when Jesus tried to escape the crowd by taking a ship into a desert place but the people followed Him by foot. (See Matthew 14:12-15)
I, therefore, decided to examine the reasons why Jesus was so influential with the crowd. Perhaps we can learn from His examples.
(The first two examples are specifically directed towards Christian bloggers)
Learning from Jesus how to attract faithful followers

Empowerment with Holy Spirit
Before Jesus began His ministry, He was baptized with water by John the Baptiste and then was baptized with the Holy Spirit of God (See Matthew 3).
Jesus was officially sanctioned by God to begin His ministry.
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. (Matthew 4:23)
Consequently, a multitude of people followed Jesus all over the country from Galilee to Judea and beyond Jordan.
Blogging is an avenue to minister the gospel to unbelievers.
Therefore, you must be empowered with the Holy Spirit to teach the Word of God so that it can bring healing and deliverance to those who are in need.
When you minister in the anointing of the Holy Spirit you will attract the attention of people to your blog because they will see the manifestation of Jesus in your writing.

Teach the truth of God’s Word
And it came to pass when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at His doctrine: for He taught them as one having authority, and not as scribes. (Matthew 7: 28-29)
Similar to Jesus, we, as Christian bloggers, must teach the Word of God with authority and not as the scribes.
The scribes’ teachings were based on the Old Testament laws. They outwardly practiced these laws but their hearts were unchanged.
Jesus did not come to earth to destroy the law or the prophets but rather to fulfill.
This fulfillment was evidence in the fact that He lived according to the words He spoke.
Likewise, we must also be doers of the words that we teach.

Commitment
And another of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead (Matthew 8:21-22)
Jesus required strict dedication to Him regardless of the circumstances in your life.
There will be hindrances and distractions but you must trust that the Lord will strengthen you to fulfill your mandate.
Sometimes bloggers tend to lax in their commitment to their viewers due to time constraints or various other reasons.
But as much as possible be resolute and ensure that you deliver a post at the scheduled time that your viewers are expecting it.
I admire some of my blogging friends who are committed to writing and publishing a post regardless of their chronic illness that may frequently flare-up.
Many bloggers are busy homemakers with full-time jobs yet they diligently submit a post in a timely manner.

Having a forgiving heart
Jesus had a forgiving heart and this was seen in the fact that when He healed the sick He also forgave their sins. (See Matthew 9:5-8)
Sometimes your post may generate controversy among your viewing audience.
When this happens, try to maintain a spirit of humility and respectfulness for other opinions that differ from yours.
I have seen long-standing friendships between bloggers destroyed because their political views differ.
Brethren this should not be so among believers in Christ. If you lose one faithful follower you have lost a friend.
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing (1Thessalonians 5:11)

Selflessness and compassionate
But when He saw the multitude, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd (Matthew 9:36)
How do you regard your followers?
Do you see them as merely a number or do you see a real person?
Jesus recognized the needs of every single individual in the crowd who followed Him and had compassion for each of them.
The blogging experts encourage bloggers to visit other blogs that are similar to theirs and build relationships.
Instead of just liking a post, write meaningful comments about the topic.
Show kindness, compassion, and love in your comments.
Every blogger is excited when someone comments on their post because this proves that their post is being read.
Most times the blogger will show their gratitude by returning the favor.
If you read a post that encourages you then share it on your social media so that it will encourage someone else.
By all means, try to avoid spamming by leaving the links to your blog in the comment box unless you are invited to do so.
Reblogging other bloggers’ posts is another great way to network and build a relationship.
However, this should be done occasionally and in the right way so that the original writer receives the credit.
Final thoughts
Over the years I have found that building genuine relationships with other bloggers is far more rewarding than having followers that you have absolutely no connection with.
Continue to persevere in the good work that God has called you to do because you will reap a great reward if you faint not.
Also, remember you are the sower of the seed, but God will give you the increase.
