Making The Lord Your Habitation.
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation. (Psalms 91:9)
It is good to spend some quality time with the Lord.
Sometimes you have to step aside from all the distractions to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to His Word.
Making the Lord your habitation means you have become His fulltime residence.
You are not renting or squatting where you can be evicted at any time. You are permanently living in the house of the Lord.
Samuel’s mom took him at an early age to live permanently in the house of God.
Since that day until his death, Samuel never left the temple of God.
Consequently, at an early age, because of the anointing that was on Samuel’s life, everyone across the entire country from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was a prophet of God.
One of the hallmarks of a great leader is the time that he spends in the presence of God.
For example, Moses was able to lead a rebellious nation forty years in the wilderness because he spoke with God face to face as a man speak to his friend until his countenance shone with the glory of God.
Joshua led the children of Israel to victory after victory, destroying seven great nations more mighty and powerful than the nation of Israel.
Joshua achieved these great accomplishments because he adored the presence of God.
David was the most powerful king of Israel because he learned to depend upon the Good Shepherd throughout his life and especially when he was in the wilderness of affliction.
Benefits when the Lord is your habitation.
The kingdom of darkness cannot enter the glorious presence of God where you dwell because the light eradicates the darkness.
Battalions of angels are guarding you within the sanctuary of God. They will lift you up so that you do not strike your feet against a stone.
While you live in the sanctuary of God, you can trample on the enemies. You can sterilize the sharp poisonous tongues (adder) (Psalms 140:3).

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)
Within the sanctuary of God, you will nullify the roar of the lion (devil) and shut the mouth of the young lions (demons).
Within the sanctuary of God, the pestilences that stalk in the darkness and the plagues that destroy at midday cannot enter so you do not need to fear them.
(Note that the entire world is commanded to remain inside their houses to avoid becoming exposed to a deadly virus (COVID-19) that stalks in the darkness and infects during the day)
Within the sanctuary of God, the wicked will fall by your side by their ten thousand because one can chase a thousand but two (you and the Lord) will chase ten thousand.
While you dwell within the sanctuary of God, the Lord is a present help in times of trouble. He will supply all your needs.
Salvation and long life are yours under the wings of the Almighty within His sanctuary.

Very true! I need to spend more time with Him; I’ve become a bit slack in that area in the past week.
