Are You Hungry And Thirsty?
Abundant food and water are waiting for you!
The flesh needs nourishment to survive. When the body needs food and water it will let you know.
Scientist discovered that the hypothalamus in the brain is responsible for maintaining internal balance in the body by controlling food and water intake, body temperature, sexual behavior and reproduction.
The hypothalamus does this by releasing the appropriate hormones at a specific time.
For example, when the the stomach is empty a hormone called Ghrelin, which is created in the stomach, increases its level in the blood.
Ghrelin enters the brain and act on the neurons in the hypothalmus, which produce two protiens (neuropeptide and agouti-related peptide) that causes the sensation of hunger (the conversation.com).
Of course, God in wisdom created these intricate chemical processes to occur in the body to cause us to know when we need to eat and drink.
However, the spiritual side of you also need food and water.
This food and water is the bread of life (Jesus Christ) and the living water of the Holy Spirit.
Unlike the body, there are no chemical processes that triggered to tell you that you are spiritually hungry and thirsty.
What triggers your spiritual hunger and thirst?
The psalmist said that as the dear panted for the water brooks so does his soul panted for God. His soul thirsts for the living God. (See Psalms 42:1-2)
Another psalmist stated that he will seek the Lord early because his soul and flesh thirst and long for God like a dry thirsty land (See Psalms 63:1)
God has placed an inner desire within our spirit that wants to have a relationship with Him.
Though I cannot prove it, I think that this desire is embedded within our DNA.
It was placed there when God created Adam and Eve, hence they had perfect relationship with Him.
Sin separated us from God, but our soul still longed for the relationship that we lost with Him.
Thanks be to God, He repaired the breech through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, when you feel the hunger and thirst in your soul for the living God, just call upon Jesus and He will cleanse and make you whole and restore your relationship with your Creator.
Blessings for the hungry and thirsty
The Lord promised to pour water upon those who are thirsty and floods upon dry ground.
He will pour His Spirit upon your seed and blessings upon your offsprings so that they will spring up like grass and like willows by the water courses.
The best food that you can ever eat is the one that will give you permanent satisfaction.
The best drink of water that you can ever have is the one that will be like well of water inside of you springing up into everlasting life.
Above all, you do not need money to buy the spiritual food and water because they are priceless.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. (Isaiah 55:1-3)
There is coming a glorious day when you will neither be physically nor spiritually hungry and thirsty ever again because you will dwell with the Lord in the new Jerusalem.
Glory to God!
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, “these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
“Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelation 7:14-17)
AMEN!

Beverley, good evening. I was reading this post you put out and a lot was coming to my mind so instead of responding I decided to write a posting called I AM THE TRUE VINE. Remember now you are the one that influenced this posting I wrote. The Lord bless you and continue to be faithful.
