The Law And Testimony Of God

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: (Psalms 19:7A)

The Levitical laws that God gave to Moses could not make anything perfect because they were a shadow of things to come.

It was impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins because every time a sacrifice was made there was a reminder of sin every year.

In other words, every year a sacrifice had to be offered for sin.

But, the Son of God was offered as one sacrifice for sin forever and is now seated at the right hand of God.

This one sacrifice has forever made perfect those that are sanctified.

Therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ has become the perfect law of God who coverts the soul.

The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. (Psalms 19:7B)

The testimonies of the Lord were placed inside  the ark of the covenant.

These testimonies consisted of a pot of manna (the Lord fed the Israelites manna for forty years in the wilderness), the two stone tablets with the ten Commandments and Aaron’s rod that budded.

The testimonies were a reminder to the children of Israel of the marvelous things that God had done for them.

The Lord met and communed with Moses on the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

Once again, the Ark of Testimony was a shadow of things to come.

Jesus Christ has become our testimony. He is our anchor who is steadfast and sure.

Jesus Christ was endowed with the spirit of power, might and wisdom.

With Jesus Christ in our hearts even the foolish can become wise.

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

  1. Amen and amen 🙏🏼 For The Word of God (Yeshua our Messiah) is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4:12.
