Stay Close To God’s Heart

Because you were created in excellence for the glory of God.

God created us with power and authority to control and rule this earth. However, we often neglect to exercise our full potential and as such we allow the devil to dominate us.

You have made him have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen—even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is your name in all the earth! (Psalms 8:6-9)

Today, the Lord is reminding us that He has placed everything under our feet including the devil. God does not see us as defeated people. Instead, He sees us as kings and priests through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We do not have to allow sin and regret to overcome us, but we can rise up with a humble and repenting heart and the Lord will save and deliver us.

This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. (Psalms 34:6-7)

The race of life is difficult with many obstacles and hurdles that we have to jump over.

Therefore, this race is not for the swift but those who endure to the end. Our strength does not lie in our physical abilities or in our resources.

Our strength is in the arms of God. He is our help and defense. Let us continue to trust Him wholeheartedly.

No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in you (Psalms 33:16; 20-22).
