Jesus told us that in this world we will have tribulation because are living in a world that is corrupted by sin.

As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will become an immediate target to attacks from Satan.

He will constantly persecute you, but you can overcome. Due to the grace of God upon your life sin does not have to dominate you (Romans 6:14).

Christ has overcome this world. Therefore, through the victory of Jesus Christ, you can overcome also.

How can you overcome?

• By the blood of the Lamb and the words of your testimony.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Revelation 12:11)

• You are an overcomer because the Holy Spirit who lives in your heart is greater than the devil who is the world.

You are of God, little children on and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John4:4).

• When the enemies attack, the Lord will create confusion in their camp so that they are defeated.

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them, and they were smitten before Israel. (1 Samuel 7:10)

• You can overcome evil with good.

Therefore, when someone does something bad to you do not retaliate with evil, but work out the solution in a godly manner.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

• You will overcome this world because of the Word of God abides in you.

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. (1 John2:14)

• You will overcome the world because you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:5)

What is your reward when you overcome the world?

• You will partake of the Tree of Life.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God (Revelation 2:7)

• The second death will not affect you.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; he that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. (Revelation 2:11)

• You will receive hidden manna (heavenly food).

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. (Revelation 2:17)

• You will receive power over the nations (enemies).

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: (Revelation 2:26)

• You will be clothed in white raiment and your name will never be removed from the Book of Life.

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (Revelation 3:5)

• The Lord Jesus will establish you as a pillar in the Temple of God.

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. (Revelation 3:12)
