Searching For The Righteous Among The Unrighteous
Are there ten righteous people in your community?
Are there ten righteous people in your country?

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. (Proverbs 11:11)
Due to the number of churches in your community you may think that there must be ten righteous people in the land.
However, the outward appearance do not determine the state of the heart. The person may have a form of godliness but deny the truth.
Furthermore, the Bible stated that our righteousness are like filthy rags in the sight of God.
Our good works on earth do not make us righteous. Our education and talents do not make us righteous.
Being faithful members in the church who give our tithes and offerings every Sunday will not make us righteous.
God could not find ten righteous people in the entire city of Sodom and Gomorrah. But, He found Lot who had a form of godliness.
The Lord saved Lot and his family from the destruction of the city because of the covenant of Abraham over them.
How can we attain righteousness?
When we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and live in obedience to Him it will be counted unto us for righteousness. (Romans 6:16; Genesis 15:6 ).
As a result, when God looks at us He does not see filthy rags. Instead, God sees the righteousness of Jesus Christ in us and we are saved from destruction.
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!
Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 12:28)
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. (Proverbs 11:11)God
AMEN!! God instructed Abram, Abram believed God, and Abram obeyed His commands…
“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed….Genesis 12:1-3
“So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him…Genesis 12:4
“Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness…Genesis 15:6
What Abraham did in Genesis 12:4 was the prerequisite for Genesis 15:6…
