ONWARD, CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
We’re living in those times
that Jesus had said,
We shall trample on scorpions,
and on serpents we’ll tread.
We will march on as soldiers
and with the Lord shall be led,
with the Seal of our God
in the midst of our forehead.
These times I do speak of
are ever so present,
with the enemy at hand,
to our demise he is hellbent.
But we have Gods Word
as our weapon of choice,
So onward as soldiers
We go forth and rejoice!
For God has the Victory,
and in this we do know,
It is seen by our fruit
of the Spirit that we sow.
We’ll sing songs of victory
to our God up above,
and gather together,
to praise Him with Love.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)
and….
Through Thee will we push down our enemies: through thy Name will we tread them under that rise up against us. (Psalm 44:5)
So…..
Thou, therefore, endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:3)
For…..
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. (Psalm 28:7)
So let’s edify one another and lift each and every one of us mighty men and women of valor together in prayer, Amen?

The old Hymn ‘Onward Christian Soldier’ was written long ago in the 19th century, (written by Sabine Baring-Gould in 1865), to encourage Christians in their ongoing battles with temptations within themselves and the evil forces throughout the world. These are the lyrics.
ONWARD, CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
1 Onward, Christian soldiers,
marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
going on before!
Christ, the royal Master,
leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
see his banner go!Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers,
marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
going on before!2 At the sign of triumph
Satan’s host doth flee;
On, then, Christian soldiers,
on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
at the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices,
loud your anthems raise! [Refrain]3 Like a mighty army
moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading
where the saints have trod;
We are not divided;
all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine,
one in charity. [Refrain]4 Onward, then, ye people,
join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices
in the triumph song;
Glory, laud, and honor,
unto Christ the King;
This thro’ countless ages
men and angels sing. [Refrain]
