Come See A Man!

The search began long ago when the earth was without form and void.

Before the foundation of the earth was established,

The Creator searched for a man.

In the history of the creation of the heavens and the earth,

In the day that the Lord God Almighty created the heavens and the earth.

Long before there were any plants in the field.

Long before the herbs bloom and the fruit trees blossoms,

There was no man to till the ground.

So the Lord God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life.

Immediately, an abundant array of green plants and trees sprang forth from the ground.

It was the perfect Garden for man to rule.

Alas, this man failed and the searched began all over again.

Run through the streets of Jerusalem and see if you can find a man;

Run through the streets of Judea and see if you can find a man.

A man who will execute judgment and seek the truth so that your sins can be pardoned.

They searched all over from dawn till dusk.

Finally, in Samaria – the city of the outcast, a triumphant cry rang through the streets,

“Come, see a man!”

Is not this the Christ empowered with the spirit of wisdom and understanding?

Is not this the Christ filled with the spirit of counsel and righteous judgment?

Is not this the Christ who healed, delivered and restored?

The search is over!

The Son of God was prepared from before the foundation of the earth.

He was the Son of man who came to seek and to save those who are lost.
