Proclaim Your Deliverance

When God has delivered you from the bondage of sin, when He has delivered and set you free, you cannot keep it yourself.

You just have to let the whole world know!

As a matter of fact, God doesn’t want you to keep your deliverance to yourself. He wants you to proclaim it to the entire world.

There was once a raving lunatic who was possessed with thousands of demons who called themselves legion.

He lived among the tombs and would often attack people when they passed the cemetery. The people of the town tried to bind him in chains and shackles but he broke them as if they were strings.

The mad man’s mind was completely gone that he could not sense time and space. He wandered around day and night in the mountains and cemetery screaming and cutting himself with stones.

All the people in the village were afraid of him and they avoided the places where he was located.

One day Jesus was passing by. When the demon-possessed man saw Jesus, he ran to Him, bowed down and worship Him saying,

“What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”

The demons knew who Jesus was and His purpose towards them.

They knew that Jesus had a designated time set for their ultimate demise. But, it was not the time as yet so they pleaded to Jesus, by the mercy of God, to leave them alone.

However, the man’s life who the demons possessed was more important to Jesus. So He cast the demons into a herd of swine at their request.

The herd of swine violently plunged over a cliff and perished.

The men who was looking after the pigs ran into the village to tell the people about this amazing incident.

When the people heard they went to see for themselves what had happened.

When they arrived, they saw the former demon possessed man sitting beside Jesus, clothed and in his right mind.

Hallelujah!

The people were astonished and afraid. They couldn’t make sense of the incident so they asked Jesus to leave.

The man who was delivered wanted to go with Jesus. But, Jesus would not allow Him to do so. Jesus said to Him,

“Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”

The man obeyed and went to Decapolis and  proclaimed to everyone all the things that Jesus had done for him. Many people listened and were amazed.

I am sure many of them were saved by the testimony of this man who was delivered from legions of demons.

If he was with Jesus, the rest of the world would not have heard his testimony.

What great things have God delivered you from?

Here is your chance to proclaim it to the world.

Thank you, and God bless you for reading.

  1. Even the demons demonstrated judgment and understanding of their condition before the Lord Jesus; they asked not to go back into the abyss, and they got the MERCY. And then they have gone extinct in the sea.
